Example Scenarios and Trials: what is being prepared today?
Explains where example data comes from, what it contains, who may use it and when it must be withdrawn.
How should these records be read?
A record is not a working tool; a visible name does not mean open content.
Media tools may support research, editing and distribution, but they do not replace the accountable publisher. Source, consent, edits, synthetic markers and human approval must remain visible.
This page shows what is being considered and which boundaries are being kept in view. Responsibility for use, publication and consequences remains with people.

A work’s name and purpose may be visible while private information, institutional data or protected content remains closed.

Examined, or accepted by the profession?
A record may have been checked for clarity. That is not a decision to use it in practice or accept it on behalf of a profession.

Six Fictional Media Scenarios
Explains why six fictional media scenarios were prepared, what they do not show, who remains responsible for decisions and how the record can be withdrawn when something is wrong.
Why is it being prepared?
To examine source, consent, human judgement and withdrawal before publication, without using data or media files belonging to real people.
To make source, consent, synthetic-media disclosure, human judgement and withdrawal visible and testable before publication.
What kind of record is this? Six fictional publication scenarios containing no real-person data or media files
Who carries the decision?
No Profession Board has been appointed today. An authorised human publisher must make any real publication decision.
People decide how an example is interpreted, whether it may be used in publication and when it must be withdrawn.
Roles required for real use: For real use: an authorised publisher, data steward and SEDD steward
There is no public objection board or application route today. Real use cannot begin until accountable people have been appointed to hear objections.
What does it show?

SIDRA · Where does it stop?
- —The dataset cannot make a publication judgement or decide about a person.
- —Real images, voices, recordings or identifying data cannot be brought into its scope.
MA · What must not be reduced?
- —A person’s story or image is not reduced to test material.
- —Consent and the represented person’s right to object cannot be separated from the data fields.
SEDD · How is it protected?
- —Every record is synthetic and checked to contain no personal data.
- —Consent, synthetic-media disclosure, human approval and withdrawal fields are required.
- —The artefact is withdrawn if it creates a false expectation of safety or certification.
Known limits and uncertainty
Six synthetic scenarios cannot represent the diversity, legal disputes or social consequences of real media cases. They test only the schema and publication-gate flow.

When something is wrong, and who may access it
Correction route
There is no public error-reporting form today. The example and its stated reason are examined in the safe rehearsal area; if an error is confirmed, the record is corrected or withdrawn.

The outcomes show only how the stated rules are expected to behave in six synthetic scenarios. They cannot encompass real media context, intent or social harm.

When something is wrong, and who may access it
Correction route
There is no public error-reporting form today. The outcome and its stated reason are examined in the safe rehearsal area; if an error is confirmed, the change is disclosed together with the earlier record.

Public record
Records whose source, conditions of use and privacy boundary are stated. Opening a work through WAQF requires a separate decision.
Shared working area
Records intended for joint development by practitioners and contributors. This does not yet announce open membership.
Held in institutional trust
Private information belonging to people or institutions is not moved into the public portal; it remains in an authorised and recorded working area.
