SAFAR Journals accept only completed and verifiable journeys. The date, place, form of participation, sources and necessary permissions are stated clearly. Public observation is not presented as membership, representation or joint work. This page does not currently promise a completed journal catalogue.
Completed journey
A journal is published only when it can show when, where and through which relationship the journey took place.
The record includes the date, place, purpose, form of participation, public sources used and any necessary permissions for people or images. A plan, sample route or intention is not presented as a completed journey.
Preparation, the journey and the return are three distinct moments of responsibility within one record.
Relationship and representation
Watching an event, attending it, working together and representing an organisation are not the same thing.
Each journal names the relationship accurately. Learning from a public video is observation; a visit or participation must be verified separately; joint work and authority to represent require an explicit record of relationship and responsibility.
A journey does not become more valuable by overstating the relationship.
Return and continuity
If SAFAR ends on return, it remains only a consumed experience.
A journal records what was learned, which judgement changed, what needs correction, which relationship should be followed and who will care for any service or WAQF candidate that emerges.
The return is not the end of the journey; it is where experience begins to become service.
