SEDD Areas to Check
Age and target audience
Required fields: Kids, Youth, Family, Schools, Companies, Partners. Question: Is this time appropriate for this age and target audience?
Health and physical fitness
Required fields: Health declaration, allergies, medication, mobility. Question: Has the participant's safe participation condition been met?
Route and field
Required fields: Site difficulty, air, water, elevation, evacuation point. Question: Have the route, weather and evacuation plan been approved?
Instructor license
Required fields: Field guide, first aid, technical expert, child/youth experience. Question: Who manages this program and with what authority?
Privacy and recording
Required fields: Photo, video, audio, child data, release. Question: Is what appears correct in terms of representation and permission?
Data and portal
Required fields: Application form, health data, emergency contact, document storage. Question: Why is this data taken, where is it stored, who sees it?
Environment and LNT
Required fields: Waste, noise, flora/fauna, permit and carrying capacity. Question: Can the field be used without being damaged?
WAQF / BA Internet
Required fields: Output license, source, ownership, maintainer. Question: Can the expedition printout be opened safely?
Risk Levels
Program Risk Profiling
Low
Example: Park/nature observation day, short family walk, simple workshop. Required approval: Program manager + SEDD checklist.
Middle
Example: Lake environment, school camp, bicycle, animal theme, craft workshop. Required process: ADAB and SEDD Committee examination and health, parent and institution permissions.
High
Example: Karagöl, overnight stay, winter, long route, non-technical challenging expedition. Required process: SEFER SEDD audit, field guide and emergency plan.
Very High
Example: Harmankaya, technical rope, canyon, extreme weather, remote evacuation. Required process: Assessment by the Trust and Charity Council and the ADAB and SEDD Board, expert guidance and legislation/permit control.
