BAI · Machines and authority to act
The more work the machine does, the more visible the human responsibility should be.
A system can generate responses, summon vehicles, send messages, modify files, or move around in the physical world. These capabilities do not transfer intention, judgment and responsibility to the machine. The BAI approach puts each machine in its rightful place within its actual need, access, authority to act, human approval and means of stopping.

Issue
Today's machines don't just provide answers; It demands more and more authority to act.
A chat model can only offer drafts. An agent can call other tools and take action on a calendar, email, or file. A device or robot can carry its effect into the physical world. The point is not to treat the machine as if it were human or to be afraid of all machines. The point is to keep clear with each capability who gave permission, who supervised, and who is accountable for the outcome.
Automation can delegate work; cannot transfer responsibility.
Basic distinction
The machine carries capacity; Human beings have intention, judgment and responsibility.
Just because a system appears powerful does not make it a subject or authority of truth that replaces humans.
Machine
Operates with given capability
- Processes data and finds patterns
- Generates prediction, draft or option
- Summons allowed tools
- Executes action in defined environment
Person
Carries purpose and account
- Determines true intent and intention
- Considers the source, context and affected person
- Authorization makes the decision of acceptance, rejection and publication
- Bears responsibility for damage, remediation and outcome
Four levels of authority to act
Before the name, look at what the system can change in the world.
The same product can work in more than one step. The purpose of classification is not to memorize new technical labels; It is to make human consent visible that must be protected as authority increases.
01 Model: generates answers or predictions
Generates text, images, sounds, codes, classifications or predictions. The output may appear correct; It cannot become a decision without source and human examination.
02 Helper: interacts with the human and suggests
Explains, reminds, outlines or offers options. One cannot replace a teacher, parent, doctor, lawyer, friend or decision maker.
03 Agent and automation: steps
Can make plans, call a ride, send a message or change registration. The scope of access, human approval at critical steps, and the retrieval path are determined from the beginning.
04 Device and robot: moves in the physical world
It perceives, measures, carries or acts in a space. Body, child, home, work and environmental safety cannot be left to software accuracy alone.

As authority increases
More action power; It demands clearer permission, narrower access and stronger returns.
A system that sends money, deletes documents, opens doors or talks to a child with a tool that only generates drafts cannot be used with the same level of surveillance. The risk lies not only in the technical ability of the vehicle; It arises in which field, on whose behalf, with what data and in what reversible way it works.
Human control is not a symbolic confirmation button on the screen; There must be a real authority that understands, can stop and hold the account.
Before authorizing action to a machine
Answer the same six questions clearly.
The answers aren't just for installation day. Authorization is re-evaluated when the system, data, user, purpose or domain changes.
What can she access?Make visible access to files, accounts, cameras, microphones, locations, messages, payments, corporate or child data; Open only what is necessary. What can it change?Explain the difference between reading and writing, drafting and publishing, recommending and buying, or taking physical action. Which step requires human approval?Money, health, law, children, privacy, representation and actions that are difficult to reverse are not left to automatic acceptance. What happens when you make a mistake?Test potential harm, reaching the wrong person, fabricated output, discrimination, and physical security risk with real examples. How to stop and take back?Pre-establish the path for emergency stop, deauthorization, transaction rollback, data deletion, human takeover, and safe shutdown. Who owns the result?Let the responsibility of the decision and error be determined within the institution, master, team or user; The answer "the machine did it" should not make the responsibility invisible.
In everyday fields
The same machine should be used differently, taking into account the people and borders of the area where it is located.
Child and learning
The tool can support curiosity and production; The child has no teacher, friend, religious guide or invisible observer. Age, household permission, privacy and adult accompaniment are maintained.
Occupation and high risk
Professional qualifications are preserved in health, law, finance, education and public service. Can offer machine draft and support; Judgment and professional calculation remain with the competent person.
Household and privacy
It should be clear what the home device is listening to, seeing, storing and transmitting. Convenience does not make family privacy an invisible price.
Field and physical world
Agriculture, production, transportation or maintenance systems do not reduce people, bodies, soil and living things to measurable data only; The field master and the people affected are left in the decision.

The frontier of truth and representation
The output or action of the machine is not truth and human judgment itself.
The model produces representation within a data and design layout; the agent steps from the same representation; the robot can move it to physical action. A successful outcome does not indicate that the system encompasses the nature of man or being. Source, uncertainty, human intervention and limit of representation should not be hidden from the user.
Let's see the success of the machine; Let's keep its limits and openness to error visible.
Building the future as a NATION
Technical teams alone should not determine the place of machines in our lives.
Understanding the real need, nature and result of a system; It wants people from different languages, generations and professions to have a voice and responsibility together.
Professional license
Physicians, teachers, lawyers, farmers, artists and other field masters are involved in the description of the problem and the limits of use.
Word of the affected person
Children, families, employees and service recipients are not only data sources or test users; is the addressee of the decision.
Languages and geographies
Acceptance of working in a language or country is not an automatic measure for all people; Explanation in the native language and local experience are preserved.
Builder and SEDD responsibility
The producing team establishes access, authorization, human approval, error, and maintainer from the beginning; SEDD does not become a stamp of approval.
When trying a system
Start with a small, limited and reversible step.
Not every model, agent, device, or robot has to become a common program or product. Sometimes limited use; sometimes more human examinations; Sometimes it is the right decision not to use it at all.
Responsible machine use
Would you like to examine together the action limit of a model, agent, device or automation you use?
Joint machine and action authority reviews within the scope of BAI are still in the preparation phase. You can share the real need you encounter, the action the system can take, the benefit or risk you see. This call is not an active product or program promise.
